Badges are "prizes" given to Wattpad Community members for passing different milestones within the community, such as getting a certain number of likes or sharing a topic. Much like achievements in video games, the badges are meant to encourage community members to use all of the options and tools available to them.
While most badges are granted immediately upon fulfilling the requirements for them, some may take a day or so to be marked as finished in the user's inventory.
